A Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Douro - Lamego existe desde 2000, e desde então tem formado profissionais de destaque, que gozam de uma forte integração no mercado de trabalho. Para tal contribui de forma decisiva a conjugação de métodos e abordagens pedagógicas, equipamentos e instalações modernas e atuais.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism of Douro-Lamego began its activities in November 2000. It is located in the Douro Valley, where Port wine and Douro wines are produced!

A formação inicial que oferecemos inclui Cursos de Dupla Certificação (Nível 4) e Cursos de Especialização Tecnológica (Nível 5) nas áreas de Cozinha/Pastelaria, Restaurante/Bar, Gestão Hoteleira, Gestão e Produção de Cozinha, entre outras.

Na formação contínua promovemos diferentes ações de formação, nas áreas operacionais, nos vinhos, na gestão, e nas línguas, desenvolvendo ainda atividades de consultoria, formação taylor made contribuindo para uma preparação de elevada qualidade e adequada às exigências e necessidades do setor.

The main objective of the EHTDouro-Lamego, consists in conducting vocational training directed to the sectors of tourism and hospitality (Cooking/Pastry, Hospitality, Tourism and Restaurant/Bar), in order to offer to the trade, competent and skilled professionals, able to improve quality to the national hotel and tourism services and firms, as well as helping organizations to create and add value to its services and products.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT:

A escola está instalada num moderno “campus” construído de raiz e plenamente equipado, composto por vários edifícios com capacidade de acolher até 300 estudantes em formação. Dispõe ainda de um auditório com 300 lugares com foyer e salão de eventos, abertos ao público, num quadro de formação com imersão na operação real.

The school building (one of the several existing in the "campus" school) consists of two floors, being organized at the ground level by the following areas:
• Administrative area;
• Library;
• Self-service (70 seats);
• Training bar;
• Restaurant (50 seats);
• Pedagogical & Production kitchen (with a capacity for 100 students and gifted with a central block zone, pastry, cold kitchen, pantry, Cooking lab;

In the same building, in a conjugate body dedicated to public areas, with an Auditorium (300 seats); one Foyer and lounge with 200 m2, in addition to the other areas of support. The main building comprises 8 classrooms; 2 computer rooms; 2 themed classrooms (Front-Office room and Organoleptic/Tasting Lab); and several working offices.

Disponibiliza também um Internato constituído por 24 quartos triplos; 12 quartos duplos, o que representa uma capacidade total de 96 alunos; Sala de estar; Apartamento do responsável; Lavandaria, Copa de Apoio, Arrumos e Enfermaria.


The boarding school, it is organized in two floors, with 24 triple rooms; 12 double rooms (total capacity for 96 students); Living room; Apartment; Laundry, Pantry and Infirmary.

There is also another building for the future launch of the Centre for Excellence in Gastronomy and Wines that will promote the study and interpretation of local, regional and Portuguese cuisine and wines from specific regions covered by the School (Douro, Porto, Varosa and Sparkling wines).

ACTIVITIES:
• Vocational training: Initial qualification for young people (high school);
• Life-long education: Specialization and professional up-grades in tourism, hospitality and catering and wines;
• Self-financed training: Free courses about different themes linked to gastronomy, culinary arts, wine and tailor-made training, etc;
• Consulting and auditing management activities;
• Catering services;
• Conferences, seminars and events.
